Im excited to introduce Sarah, a new guest contributor here on Versus Fibro — someone whose voice I think many of you will connect with straight away.

Sarah is 42, married, and lives just outside Cardiff. She’s recently been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, and she’s only just beginning to understand what that actually means for her life, her body, and her mind. Her journey is fresh, emotional, and sometimes messy — but always honest.
Sarah has kindly agreed to write for Versus Fibro from time to time, sharing her thoughts and experiences as she works her way through the early stages of living with chronic illness. Her posts will be deeply personal, sometimes darker than what you usually find here — touching on subjects like depression, fear, identity loss, and those shadowy moments we don’t always say out loud.
Her writing is warm, raw, and completely unfiltered — and that’s exactly why I wanted to create space for her here.
I hope Sarah’s words offer some connection, some reflection, or just a bit of comfort if you’ve ever felt the same. Her perspective is her own, but I think you’ll find little pieces of your story in hers too.
Please join me in welcoming Sarah to Versus Fibro. Look out for Sarahs first post coming shortly
