About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I’m excited to share my journey with you and to connect with others who may be navigating similar experiences. My name is Pete, and I live in beautiful South Wales, UK. Like many of you, I’ve faced the ups and downs that come with fibromyalgia—a condition that has changed the way I live my life.

My Diagnosis Journey

My symptoms began to appear in August 2020, but it wasn’t until 2024 that I finally received a formal diagnosis. During those challenging years, I felt like I was on a relentless path of referrals, tests, and more tests—blood tests, scans, scopes—you name it. Each time, I was told that everything came back “normal,” which only added to the confusion and frustration. Eventually, after exhausting all other options, I was informed that what I was experiencing was indeed fibromyalgia, marking a pivotal moment in my journey.

Purpose of This Blog

This blog is a space for me to share what I’ve learned about living with fibromyalgia and what I’m still discovering in my day-to-day life. It’s a place of community where I hope to provide helpful tips, offer real talk about the challenges we face, and remind you that you are not alone on this journey. Whether you’re looking for practical advice or just a bit of support, I hope you’ll find something here that makes your experience a little less daunting. Welcome to my happy place by the coast, where there’s hope and understanding!
